With this gesture Duchess Meghan says goodbye to her old life

As for the Academy Award for feature films, the Emmy is for TV series. On September 17, the coveted television prize will be awarded again. However, a very special star guest must be waived as expected. Duchess Meghan, 37, has turned down an invitation to the Emmy Awards, as the British tabloid The Sun reports.

She wanted to make a clear line between her old life as an actress and her new life as a Royal with this decision, one source told the newspaper. The duchess had therefore "politely declined the invitation". The organizers apparently had hoped to win the 37-year-old for the award in Los Angeles, so she could say goodbye to her colleagues from the US series "Suits" and their fans.

The Emmys will be awarded for the 70th time this year. In June, the British Daily Mail reported that the former actress had been nominated for an Emmy nomination. According to a representative of USA Network, an application had been submitted to the committee responsible, which recommends Duchess Meghan for the category "Best Supporting Actress - Drama Series". But it did not come to that in the end.

To become Duchess Meghan she ended her career

Most recently, Meghan appeared in the grand finale of the seventh "Suits" relay when she gave the nod to her love of TV Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams (36). After the seventh season, the two got out together. A little later on May 19, Meghan's dream wedding followed with Prince Harry (33). Also the complete "Suits" -Cast was invited.
