Like ice in the sunshine? Such was a beach day at that time

Crazy that the nineties are now so long ago. We especially notice that whenever we look at old vacation photos. Did we really wear that? And were we really that slim then? But not only we were younger and the swimwear brighter, no, the beach accessories were somehow totally different. Apparently we actually lived in this old Langnese commercial that everyone knows. How many of these beach attendants do you still have in the basement?

Why exactly did we wear those strange green, yellow, blue and red plastic caps again? To have a colorful shadow in the face? One does not know.

The smell of warm bast in the sun? that was nice. Only really comfortable things were not, right? At some point, one or the other broken half has always bent up to poke in the back. Ouch.

The level ball? Generations of beachgoers know him! And there was nothing funnier than just playing the ball over the sweet guys by chance while playing water polo. "Sooorrrryyy!". Giggle.

The Camping Luma was alienated was a completely common method. Including orange rubber plugs, which were constantly lost and fainting while mouth-pumping.

Each suburban pool included a decent rubber crocodile. And in every outdoor pool. And every North Sea vacation. Kroko was everywhere. And is just now coming back.

Towels had to be cheesy: Coca Cola, Mickey Mouse, Micheal Jordan? The main thing it banged on the toweling parts. Even America was still cool at the time. We say it: worry-free times.

When a beachbody was only a beachbody, when he dripped with nut oil just so. Nix-consuming fitness programs? when the body was brown and greasy everything was ok. Back then with SPF 6, not 60. We just did not know it better.

And last but not least: no beach day without Cornetto. We never really understood why in the strawberry version the waffle was coated with chocolate from the inside. No matter, do not question, lick. And now everyone: ... I'm melting awaaayyy / Oho sunny daaaayyyy!
