"Your smile has enchanted him": Police Berlin is looking for colleagues for dream woman

Is that too far? A policeman from the Berlin police has fallen in love with an unknown woman who asked him on the road for the way. Apparently he wanted so much to see her again that his colleagues decided to help him in an unusual way.

In a story on the official Instagram account of the Berlin police, the police posted one romantic search ad in pink and purple, in the background the silhouette of a woman, around it heart, On it was to read in simple writing:

"Please contact me. You were at 4.30 pm yesterday at Hallesches Tor Underground Station and asked our colleagues for directions? Your smile has enchanted him. If that were you, please sign up by DM. "And further:" You have given him a smile as a farewell. Now he is looking for you? we help."

A policeman looking for love? not unusual. After all, policemen are only human. But for many people, this romantic appeal goes too far. Especially on Twitter it harsh criticism. Many find: That goes too far!

A user writes: "I can understand that you want to demonstrate 'closeness to the citizen' and such on your social media accounts, that's nice of you, but could you maybe act more like ... the police?" Another becomes even clearer: "My friend and stalker".

The police Berlin remains relaxed despite the criticism, the colleagues are not embarrassed.

"The reactions to Instagram are so far only positive," says Jörn Iffländer of the social media department of the Berlin police, according to "Vice". "Everyone wishes us every success and wants to hear if the affected person answers." To speak of "Stalking" in this posting is completely unfounded and has nothing to do with the relevant facts.

Colleagues have come up with the idea of using the Instagram post because, conversely, they are often contacted by citizens who are looking for a police officer or a policewoman whom they have fallen in love with. "We then pass this on to the relevant department, and the colleagues can then contact or not."
