These big brands are really behind the Aldi brands

Rusk of "gold ears", cappuccino of "Combo" and peanuts of "Trader Joe? S"? We all know these products from Aldi. But did you know that behind them are big and well-known brands that offer their products at the discounter as no-name food?

Who is really behind the Aldi own brands?

Like the? Star? shows behind the peanut flips of Aldi Nord, for example, the manufacturer "Funny Frisch", the cheap "Cava Delmora" sparkling wine, which can also be bought at Aldi Nord, is actually produced by "Freixenet", the rusk of "gold spikes" comes from "Brandt", the classic rusk brand, and the "yoghurt-fruits" from "Sweetland" come from the house "Katjes".

Aldi coffee - which brand is behind it?

If you buy the cheap "Cappuccino Classico" from "Combo", the truth is "Nescafé", the Moreno Family Cappuccino, which you can buy at Aldi-Nord, is actually produced by Krüger. The Aldi coffee itself, however, comes from the own coffee roasting of Aldi Nord.

But why do big brands do that?

The concept of Aldi is to leave big brands in the fitting of the shelves left. However, in order to be represented at the popular discounter, the major manufacturers are simply producing a second range in addition to their branded products as no-name foods, which then also migrate to the Aldi shelves.

Qualitatively, the own brands of Aldi are hardly following the brand products, according to the "Stern". At Stiftung Warentest, the big brands receive the school grade 2.05. The Aldi products are just behind with 2.56. Only Lidl scores better with 2.49.
