Rita Moreno: She got an Oscar for that

The Puerto Rican actress and singer Rita Moreno (86) will be part of the "West Side Story" remake. US director Steven Spielberg (71) is re-filming the musical by Leonard Bernstein (music), Stephen Sondheim (lyrics) and Arthur Laurent's (book). Moreno will also produce the remake with, as "nbcnews.com" reports.

Already in 1961 Rita Moreno starred in a film adaptation of Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins. For her portrayal of Anita in 1962, she was the first Latina to receive the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
