Global Gladiators: The five final gladiators are set
In the new episode of "Global Gladiators", it was above all the once-so-harmonic Team Blau's neck. Because in the last game of the episode Ben, Sabrina Setlur and Manuel Cortez had to compete against each other - and that did not end well for the latter. Just like Sabia Boulahrouz had a challenge in front of him, he had to leave the ProSieben show after the lost competition. The remaining candidates could look forward to moving into the final.
"Fight the losers"
How did that work? The first challenge of the episode was called "Deep Blue Cage". The name suggests that there were Team Blue members Ben, Sabrina and Manuel on the list, as well as Team Red member Sabia. The gladiators were locked underwater in a bamboo cage, had to use their breath to get the key from a Plexiglas box, unlock the lock and finally dive up. The slowest of them had to leave the show.
Although Ben did not feel at all "in his element" because he says he is terrified of being underwater and locked up somewhere, in the end he got the best time with one minute and 45 seconds. He was closely followed by Manuel with one minute and 49 seconds. Because Sabia was only able to free herself in a time of three minutes and 50 seconds and Sabrina was 30 seconds faster, Team Red had to do without another member in the final. Lucas Cordalis, Joey Heindle and Miriam Höller had already qualified in the previous episode.
A rift goes through Team Blue
"The closer it gets to finals, the greater the chance that I'll give them one left, one right - purely athletic," Ben told Sabrina in the evening about team-mate Manuel. Above all, the need for validity of the actor, the two went out. The blasphemy attack followed a conversation in which the two musicians had previously mutually reaffirmed their friendship. "For me, you're like my big brother," Sabrina told her new best buddy, Ben, while confessing, "If you were not here, I would die." The fact that the two are friendly on one wavelength, meant nothing good for team colleague Manuel ...
Two against one
... because in the last challenge "King of the Iceland" the three had to compete against each other. The task: The gladiators had to push each other wrapped in plastic airbags by a platform floating on the water. The loser was not allowed to return to the container, he had to leave the show forever. Ben swore into the camera, "I will not raise a stick, a stick, or my foot against Sabrina." And that's how it happened. Ben just went for Manuel, and finally checked him in the water often enough that the actor ended up losing the competition.
So all finalists are complete. "Ben and Sabrina, you have the last chance to enter the final," said the end of the episode on the big screen in the container.
