Christian Ulmen: "Man / Woman" belongs on the web
He's just single again, dissatisfied with his job and drinking too much. She is chaotic, has no luck with the men and tries to get order in her life. The new web series "Man / Woman" tells of two singles in Berlin and their everyday confusion in private life and job. Both are in their early thirties, both disoriented. Sometimes it is reported from the men's point of view, sometimes from the point of view of women. However, "man / woman" is not just another format filled with common clichés about men, women and singles. "These are just three ingredients we use to tell our three-minute stories, it's like cooking: only the herbs are there," says Ulmen about his latest project. The fact that each episode lasts only three minutes in each case is something special about "man / woman". The series is made for the Web and should serve as entertainment for in between and on the go. Through many changes of scenery and a fast narrative, refreshing and lively stories about the WOMAN and the MAN, which are played by Lore Richter ("sisters") and Mirko Lang ("Zweiohrküken"). Their dialogues are authentic and often improvised. "The authors of" Mann / Frau ", Johann Buchholz and his sister Jana, had already written really real and lively lyrics, and Lore Richter and Mirko Lang made one or the other word their own, and that's how this naturalness came about", reports elms. In the series, the two search for the meaning of life and plunge from one chaos to the next. A circumstance that is no stranger to Christan Ulmen: "I have also stepped into various embarrassing traps, between 20 and 30 I almost let myself be confused by all the guidebook mess that gets hacked at the kiosk and online around the ears : how thin you have to be, intimate shaving yes or no, you can talk while kissing, what is male, what women are not allowed to say and so on. "
The web series was produced by Ulmen TV, the production company of Christian Ulmen, in cooperation with PULS and the Bavarian Television. In addition, elm plays a minor role. As a bartender, he listens to the problems of his guests - and always has a suitable answer ready. Even in private life, he is a good listener. "As someone daydreaming like me, you automatically become a first-class listener." This will be enjoyed by his wife Collien Ulmen-Fernandes, who also plays in the series.
Since September 3, the episodes are on the net. Twelve out of a total of twenty episodes are online, with two new ones added every Friday. On Friday night, the web series will be broadcast on Bavarian television. All fans of "man / woman" are already looking forward to more: Christian Ulmen has already announced another season.
