Alena Fritz: These are her fashion tips for the cold days
Fashionable and sexy through the winter? A real challenge for women. Model and presenter Alena Fritz (29) knows that, too. She is a big fan of the Canadian outerwear brand Nobis and reveals in the interview at the Fashion Week in Berlin her style tips for cold days and in which outfits her husband and father of her daughter, footballer Clemens Fritz (38), she looks most like.
What are your styling tips for the cold days?
Alena Fritz: My husband says that I always dress like in midsummer. It is not so easy to dress well in the winter. A cool, warm winter jacket is already half the battle for the cold days. Style and warmth factor are not mutually exclusive and I can be dressed as summery as I like it.
What are your favorite parts in winter?
Fritz: I love beanies, thick boots - a giant scarf gives a winter outfit the cuddle factor. These accessories change depending on the use of the look of the basic part: the super warm winter jacket.
Which new must-haves have you already indulged in this winter?
Fritz: I'm a mom, because you buy rather the sprout the trendy "must-haves". She has neatly dusted off, several jackets, boots and caps. For me, the decision was made on a jacket by Nobis, because it is very thoughtful. The buttons are magnetic and close by themselves, under the arms I can open zippers, so that the heat does not accumulate. I'm just flexible and can totally focus my attention on my daughter, that was important to me.
How important is fashion for you? Would you call yourself a trendsetter?
Fritz: I love fashion, I grew up with it. My parents are from the fashion industry and so wished that I take a different career direction. When I started working as a model at 13, they beat their hands over their heads. Nevertheless, I'm relaxed in terms of fashion, I like it more casual, but sometimes like to play and try out looks.
Who are your fashion role models?
Fritz: I have no concrete, at least I follow no blogs or websites, I get inspired on the streets. When I see a well-dressed woman, I like to take the impressions with me and make something of my own. For me, streetstyle stands for independent creativity, the looks of people are as different as their stories probably are. I like it a lot and always look for the casual touch in clothing.
What was your biggest fashion faux pas to date?
Fritz: There were many! In my school, it was hip for a while that we girls left the house in the outfit approved by Mama and secretly threw ourselves into spaghetti straps tops and hip jeans behind the bus stop in front of the school. In addition eyelet pencil and 90s eyebrows. Done is the no-go!
In which outfits does your husband Clemens love to see you?
Fritz: In jogging pants and unvarnished, plus a loose bun. Optionally, he also likes boots, jeans and shirt. Main thing, of course. He also has less to worry about, if I can argue that things really keep warm.
The new year has just begun, what are your plans for 2019?
Fritz: Everything should be as wonderful as it was in 2018. I really enjoy everything as it is. But we are building our house this year and of course I wish it to be fairly stress free.
Have you made any intentions or even broken?
Fritz: I wanted to eat less candy - mercilessly gone wrong, I'm so weak and addicted ...
Are you celebrating your 30th birthday in the summer, is a big party planned?
Fritz: For God's sake, do not remind me! Little fun. I think there's a surprise party planned if you ask me, but I should not say too much now, otherwise they'll change their plans again. (Laughs)
