Mel B: She could not get out of bed without cocaine

The "Spice Girl" Mel B (43, "For Once In My Life") has had a hard time. During her marriage to music producer Stephen Belafonte (43) she slipped more and more into drug addiction. Also several suicide attempts were talked about again and again. At the end of 2017 the divorce followed, in August 2018 she was admitted to a detox clinic. These massive problems of recent years, Melanie Brown, as her real name, now also in her autobiography "Brutally Honest", which will be published in late November.

The British tabloid "The Sun" quotes a few passages from the book in advance that bring to fright. For example, during her time as a juror at "The X Factor", Mel B consumed cocaine up to six times a day. She was so addicted that she had to use drugs to get out of bed before the shoot: "I was a sad, pathetic person, I was out of control." She had prayed to God and apologized to him for the drugs. Her only goal was to somehow get through the day.
