Massimo Sinató: Why he is happy today

Every year, the Movember Foundation calls men to grow a mustache in November. The result is Mustache November, Movember for short - to spark conversations and raise funds to support men's health. The international charity organization has set itself the ambitious goal of paying more attention to men's health. L'Oréal Men Expert supports this project with worldwide projects and invited to the charity event in Berlin on Wednesday evening.

Dancer and actor Massimo Sinató (37) was enthusiastic about the actions at the event. The "Let's Dance" star can be completely checked at least once a year, as he reveals in the interview with spot on news. The self-confessed beard-bearer spends a lot of time in his body and his appearance. That brings him not only from his wife Rebbecca Mir (26) a lot of compliments.

Did you ever grow a mustache at Movember?

Massimo Sinató: I did not have to grow a mustache, it is already integrated in my beard. However, the Movember Foundation is an outstanding foundation. It draws attention to the biggest health problems of men and is committed to improving men's health. With L'Oréal Men Expert Barber Club as a partner, this is a wonderful thing, which of course I like to support without a mustache.

Your beard is now already your trademark. How long have you been wearing it?

Sinató: I grew my beard around 4 to 5 years ago. Since then he is my constant companion and is an important part of me. I can no longer imagine myself and my face without a beard.

Do you ever play with the idea of shaving it off?

Sinató: In the past, I sometimes had to cut or shorten my beard for TV dance shows. I did not have to shave it off yet. But if that's what you want for a proper acting or dancing role, I would of course also shave it off completely. Finally, a beard grows again.

What is your wife Rebecca's beard?

Sinató: My wife loves my beard and has fully supported the development since 2014.

How much time do you invest in your appearance, are you a vain person?

Sinató: I spend a lot of time in my appearance. For my hair and beard care I need at least half an hour a day. In minutes and hours, I can not tell how much I invest in my looks, but I think a man should always have a well-groomed appearance. Anyone who works in show business and regularly performs on stage simply has a certain vanity. However, I would not describe myself as a very vain person.

The Movember Foundation is the world's leading initiative for the sustainable improvement of men's health. Are you someone who regularly goes to the doctor and has himself checked-in?

Sinató: Definitely. The Movember Foundation is the only foundation worldwide dedicated to men's health throughout the year. This is a great thing and inspires me a lot. I go to the doctor regularly and have myself checked at least once a year.

What are you doing for your health?

Sinató: I pay a lot of attention to my diet and, in addition to dancing, regularly do sports four to five times a week, ie cardio training, fitness or strength training.

How disciplined are you in terms of nutrition, which calorie sins can you not resist?

Sinató: I would describe myself as very disciplined and try to stop eating carbohydrates after 7pm. However, I find it hard to resist Italian pasta.

Many men envy you for their well-toned body. Are there any specific exercises or tricks that you can particularly recommend?

Sinató: Many men only care about a decorative upper body and neglect the most important exercise, the leg exercise, such as squads, which trains the largest muscle group.

And is there something about your body that you are not satisfied with?

Sinató: I would describe myself as desirelessly happy. But there is also a lot of work and a healthy and positive lifestyle.

What was the nicest compliment you have ever received

Sinató: The nicest compliment I've ever received was the "yes, I want" from my wife Rebecca when I proposed to her.
