Great concern for Michael Bruce Curry: The "Royal Wedding" Bishop has cancer

In May, US bishop Michael Bruce Curry (65) stole the show at the royal wedding with his blazing speech about the infinite power of love to newlyweds Prince Harry (33) and Meghan (36). The likeable clergyman convinced on May 19 of this year worldwide with his message. The latest news about the 65-year-old curry, however, are anything but positive: As reported by the US magazine "People", he is suffering from prostate cancer.

In a letter he sent to the site, Curry reveals that the diagnosis came to light in a routine check-up a few months ago. But true to the motto "Do what you preach", Curry remains an optimist through and through in this difficult time:

I am happy to announce that the forecast looks very good and positive.

He has already received a great deal of support from people suffering from the same disease. Next week, Curry will undergo surgery and have his prostate removed.

Bishop Curry is thinking of it

He wanted to treat himself to the surgery for only six weeks before he returned to his church altar - in September it should be ready. He draws strength from many directions: "I am blessed with a wonderful family, a first-class team of doctors, great employees, beloved colleagues and friends," says Curry. And in the form of God and the Church, of course, with a passion to which he dedicated his life.

Surprisingly, Curry was invited in honor of the British-American bridal couple to give a speech at the Royal Wedding in St. George's Chapel in London. He did not miss this opportunity and used the global stage to quote, among others, Martin Luther King Jr. and preach that only love can make the world a better place.
