From Hamburg to Munich: Do you fit into the fashion cliché of your city?

The Hamburger

Sailing shoes, polo shirt (ideally with striped pattern) and of course a bright white jeans - that's what a typical Hamburg girl looks like. That says at least a cliché about the Hanseatic city and its inhabitants. White blouses, plain flats and a designer bag can be found in her wardrobe. So she makes herself comfortable in the nice café on the Alster and does not have to change for the next trip to Sylt. In color, the looks of the Hamburg women are kept cool - as well as their alleged character. According to an editorial poll, we can not confirm this stereotype.

The Berliner

Colorful, funky, the main thing to notice: This is the Berliner, so they say. With her outfits, she underlines her creativity, individuality and particularity. She loves second-hand shops, flea markets and has no problem with investing a lot of money on extraordinary unique items. Perfectly styled down to the smallest detail? This is definitely the Berlin girl - but it does not catch the eye of the beholder at first sight. Women in Berlin have virtually invented the undone look, which of course does not take less time.

The Munich woman

The typical woman from Munich? She loves to wear pearl earrings, ballerinas and a Chanel bag. High-quality every garment should look. Also classic and a bit conservative. Colors are rarely experimented. The native of Munich prefers white, beige or dark blue. If you want to attract attention, he puts on a dirndl. It may also be a trendy pink.

The Cologne woman

The Cologne woman is relaxed, sporty and likeable. This is reflected in the Rhenish Frohnatur also in the clothing style: jeans, a trendy sweatshirt (with sparkling lace details) and sneakers, the look does not need more. The Cologne woman does the splits between sporty and elegant, with the former playing the bigger role. The athleisure trend is lived out in the German city, like in no other.

The Leipzigerin

The look of the cliché-Leipzigerin changes from year to year. Because: She likes to follow every trend. Much more important than the outfit itself, however, are the accessories. Whether hats, XXL earrings or eye-catching wool scarves - accessories are the ultimate and most of the actual outfit in the shade.

The Frankfurt woman

Pencil skirt, blazer and XXL heels wearing the typical Frankfurt. After all, everyone in Mainhatten works as a top manager in a bank. Or not? The resident likes to imagine herself as the leading actress of an American series. Perfectly styled, with discreet jewelry and murderous heels, she discusses every customer, colleague and supervisor against the wall. But we believe that this stereotype is not really that close to reality.
