Eyelash Lifting is an application where your own eyelashes are bent upwards using gel pads and various lotions. The treatment is now offered by most beauty salons.

In the application, the own eyelashes are swept upwards and stretched. This is done by a chemical process that is triggered by different lotions. The perfectly curved eyelashes, which are otherwise only available with the help of eyelash curlers, should remain in their lifted position for 6 to 8 weeks.

Unfortunately, you can not do eyelash lifting at home, so you have to go to a beauty salon and I had my application in the Hamburg Beauty Lounge of Adam & Eve.

First, you can choose how big the later effect should be, so: how far the eyelashes should be bent upwards. I decide for a medium bend, so that an effect is indeed recognizable, but still looks natural.

Depending on the desired effect, the size of the gel pads, which are glued to the eyelids at the beginning of the treatment - directly to the lash line - differs. I get the pads on the eyelids after they have been cleaned and the eyelashes combed.

Now the eyelashes are fixed to the pads and then dabbed with a lifting lotion. This lotion ensures that the sulfur bridges in the hair are broken and make the eyelashes bend. After a contact time of 20 minutes, another lotion is applied, which fixes the resulting bend. The second lotion must work for 20 minutes.

The eyelashes are then dyed to enhance the result. Dyeing is included in eyelash lifting prices at some beauty salons, as at Adam & Eve. "

Laura's conclusion:

"I am very satisfied with the value for money when it comes to eyelash lifting and even without make-up, my eyelashes got a great volume, so I could often do without the mascara.

Unfortunately, I can not confirm that the lifting effect lasts for 6 to 8 weeks. Currently, five weeks have passed since the treatment and my eyelashes are back in their original form for several days.

With about 60 minutes, the visit to the beauty salon is not in between, but it's always worth it for the great effect. With a thin layer of mascara the eyelash momentum is even enhanced. Make-up removal works perfectly normal, despite eyelash lifting. "

How much eyelash lifting costs depends on the beauty salon and can vary between 35 and 70 euros per treatment. In our test, the lift including eyelash dyeing cost 59 euros.
