AnnenMayKantereit: They beat the vinyl charts

Great success for the four-member band from Cologne: AnnenMayKantereit ("Barefoot on the piano") are with their second album "Drop Shadow" the new front runners on the vinyl throne. Close behind are Udo Lindenberg with "Unplugged Teil 2" and The Beatles with their remaster version of their record "White Album".

AnnenMayKantereits debut album "Alles nix Konkretes" was also the most frequently performed work in the Official German Album Charts in 134 years. Thanks to the particularly catchy voice of lead singer Henning May (28). The Official German Vinyl Charts are determined by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie e.V. The monthly hit lists are based on the sales and usage data of 2800 retailers.
