A terribly nice family: That's what Bud Bundy says about a possible reboot

In the late 1980s and 1990s, there were few series that were as popular as "A terribly nice family." With the many successful reboots of the past few years, the chance for a return of the Bundys is probably not bad either. David Faustino, 44, who played the serial son Bud Bundy, is now talking about a possible comeback.

"There's a rumor, we'll see, I do not know," Faustino said in a brief conversation with the US celebrity portal "TMZ" back. But immediately afterwards the actor gives the fans of the sitcom great hope. "Everybody wants to do it", he explains, one is probably still in the process of solving some legal problem.

Would everyone really be there?

Unfortunately, it is unclear who Faustino means exactly. Should it actually come to a reboot, many fans would probably accept only a cast with the actors from the original. In addition to Bud Bundy were mainly family man Al (Ed O'Neill, 72), Mama Peggy (Katey Sagal, 64) and sister Kelly (Christina Applegate, 46) to the main cast.

Faustino's former colleagues seem to be at least not as open to a comeback as he is. "I'm no longer that type, I'm a mother," said Applegate in 2017 on the question of moderator Conan O'Brien (55), whether she would force herself into the tight outfits of Kelly Bundy for a reunion. She has a now seven-year-old daughter.

Even O'Neill was rather skeptical in the past. In an issue of the interview series "Build" by AOL, he explained in 2016 that Faustino, to the best of his knowledge, had presented Sony with an idea, but that the whole thing had already failed because of legal problems. When asked about a comeback, the actor explained that he did not believe it would happen: "I think we're done with it."

One of the best Al Bundy quotes (April 2024).
