Velvet - with these tips, the trend fabric becomes wearable in the fall

Velvet, velvet, velvet. Wherever you look, the matte-finish material that we know from living room furniture and heavy window curtains is back in the fashion world. At least since we see the material in all online shops, there is certainty. We think it's great because velvet is a lot cooler than some of you think. And we prove that to you now!

How do you wear the fabric?

We admit: At first glance velvet looks stale and dusty. But the new It fabric is amazingly diverse and can be combined much fancier than initially thought. Velvet is particularly suitable for everyday use in dark, calm colors such as black, dark green, sapphire blue or bordeaux red. If you do not want to go wrong, it's best to go for a classic velvet blazer that, in combination with casual jeans, a trendy turtleneck sweater and sleek boots, creates a modern look for the office.

How to care for velvet

Another question that raises the new fashion trend. How is velvet washed? In fact, the fabric is not easy to care for. Due to the delicate fabric, it is recommended to either wash the velvet by hand or to clean it. In addition, the material must not be ironed, otherwise the imprint of the iron is deposited. Instead, crumpled garments can be hung in a bath filled with hot water.
