Knitting stripe jacket - instructions and patterns
Instructions for a block stripe jacket in sizes S / M / L

Material: each 150/150/200 g Gray Fb 9 and Black Fb 12 "Garzato Piú" (45% Virgin Wool, 35% Polyamide, 20% Alpaca, LL 150m / 50 g) by Lana Grossa. Knitting Needles No. 6. Crochet Hook No. 6.
Note: It is possible that the given wool can not be bought anymore. In this case, you are looking for a similar quality. Please note the specified run length and do a stitch test!
Smooth left (GL): Rowing left, back rows right.
Smooth right (GR): Rowing right, back rows left. Block stripes: 10 cm each in gray and 10 cm in black alternating.
Knitting tension: In GR, 14 M x 20 R = 10 x 10 cm.
Back: Cast on in black 55/60/65 sts and knit 6 cm in GL, continue to knit in gray in GR. Armholes: 60/58/56 cm from GL on both sides 5 x 1 st in each row = 45/50/55 sts. Cast off 18/20/22 cm from beg of armholes all sts.
Left front: Cast on in black 51/55/59 sts and knit 6 cm in GL, continue to knit in gray in GR, knit the last 6 sts in GL. Make an armhole on the right side as on the back = 46/50/54 sts.
Neck: Cast off 6/8/10 cm from the beginning of the armholes on the left side 22 sts, then cast off 4 times 3 sts and 6 times 1 st every other row. Cast off the remaining 6/10/14 shoulder sts from the beginning of the armhole at 18/20/22 cm.
Right front: knit opposite the left front piece.
Sleeve: Cast on 25/30/35 sts each time in black and knit 6 cm in GL, continue to knit in GR in gray at the same time, then inc 1 st on each side in every 9 rows = 39/44/49 sts. Bind off 38 cm from GL on both sides of every other row from RS 1 st until a ball height of 17 cm is reached, then bind off the remaining sts.
elaboration: close the shoulder, side and sleeve seams. Pick up 56 M at the neckline in black and knit 5 cm in GL, then bind off all sts loosely. Sew in the sleeves. Loosely knit all edges in black from the left side with 1 R Kett stitch.
