Max Planck Diet: Can this be healthy?

The Max Planck diet, the carbohydrate intake, except for a little fruit or sometimes a sandwich in between, extremely limited. On the diet plan are plenty of fresh vegetables and protein foods such as lean meats, fish and eggs. The Max Planck diet can therefore be considered Low-Carb Diet however, is much stricter than other diets.

The Max Planck diet remains controversial

As early as 2001, the Max Planck Society said that neither they nor any of the institutes had anything to do with this diet and rated it as the supposed "April Fool's joke".

Nutritionists strongly advise against this diet! The Max Planck diet is considered Crash diet, the Jojo effect is preprogrammed, too radical, the metabolic processes are put on the back burner. If you eat normally again after two weeks, the lost kilos will be back in no time.



Rumors suggest that anyone who strictly adheres to the diet plan should not gain weight for three years as the diet induces a metabolic change - that's nonsense! Conclusion: Better to look for a healthier alternative to losing weight!

The Max Planck Diet Plan

1st day of the Max Planck diet

  • breakfast: Black coffee
  • Having lunch: Two boiled eggs, plus any amount of spinach
  • Dinner: A big steak or three fried beefsteaks, with a green salad, celery at will

2nd day of the Max Planck diet

  • breakfast: Black coffee, with a roll
  • Having lunch: A big steak, with a green salad, fruit at will
  • Dinner: Cooked ham at will

3rd day of the Max Planck diet

  • breakfast: Coffee black, no sugar and 1 roll
  • Having lunch: Two boiled eggs, salad and tomatoes
  • Dinner: Cooked ham and green salad

4th day of the Max Planck diet

  • breakfast: Black coffee, with a roll
  • Having lunch: A boiled egg, boiled or raw carrots and Swiss cheese at will
  • Dinner: Fruits and natural yoghurt at will

5th day of the Max Planck diet

  • breakfast: Black coffee, cooked with carrots or raw and lemon at will
  • Having lunch: Steamed fish, tomatoes to taste
  • Dinner: A big, grilled steak or three roasted beef steaks, with a green salad to taste

6th day of the Max Planck diet

  • breakfast: Black coffee, with 1 bread roll
  • Having lunch: Grilled chicken at will
  • Dinner: Two boiled eggs, with carrots at will

7th day of the Max Planck diet

  • breakfast: Tea with lemon
  • Having lunch: A big grilled steak or three fried beef steaks, fruits at will
  • Dinner: at your choice

From the 8th day the diet plan is repeated. The diet plan should maximum 14 days be performed. While the diet is careful much water to drink.
