Good Stellshagen: Everything bio, or what?
Friday evening: Our small red city car brings us safely and quickly in one and a half hours from Hamburg to the manor house Stellshagen. Already while driving dream like a weekend with delicious organic products, wellness and relaxation.
As soon as the suitcases are brought to the room, we head to the fabulous organic buffet, served in the wood-paneled dining room in the mansion. At this point, however, I have to confess to my husband that he will not only eat 100 percent organic and gluten / lactose free in the next two days, but also 100 percent vegetarian.
Nevertheless, he ventures with critical eye to the delicacies: beetroot with coconut and horseradishAyurvedic dishes without dairy products and the best dressing in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, made from apricots, soy milk, soy cream and agave syrup. The creations - sometimes Italian, sometimes Indian, sometimes German - are just delicious, with fresh herbs and grains was not saved. Ball-fed and happy, we end the evening with a delicious glass of organic red wine and a round of backgammon in the emerald-green fireplace room.
It is hard to believe, but after the first night in our tiny, spartan Japanese room, we look forward to another round at the buffet - this time is breakfast! After enjoying home-made jam and fresh fruit, you will be strengthened and full of energy in the beautiful nature. On foot, by bike or the red car you can explore the fields, meadows and beautiful avenues around the manor house? It is only ten kilometers to the Baltic Sea. Schloss Bothmer, the largest baroque palace complex in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, is only a stone's throw away from the manor house and offers an excellent tour.
After so much fresh air and culture, we look forward to the sauna. The sauna landscape has hobby cellar charm, but we relax anyway, I like the hanging swing in front of the fireplace. A pity, we are too early, only next month, the new sauna house with natural swimming pond opens!
Sunday morning: On our last day we let ourselves be pampered in the TAO health center again. While we wait for the treatment, we make ourselves comfortable in huge wicker chairs in front of the fireplace. Far too soon we are called by the therapists for the relaxation massage. As if in a trance, we make our way back to the manor house and treat ourselves to a grandiose piece of Rübli cake in the winter garden - naturally from organic farming.
Unhappily, not allowed to enjoy another dinner here, brings us the red racer back home - where the expectations of organic vegetarian food now a latte higher.
