Frances McDormand: Man steals her Oscar and brags about it

What a shock to actress Frances McDermond (60)! In the night from Sunday to Monday she was awarded the second Oscar of her career for her role in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri". But while she was celebrating her prize at The Governor's Ball, the golden boy was stolen from her table, according to US gossip portal TMZ. The thief then had the audacity to claim in front of other guests that the Oscars belong to him. He even asked other people if they wanted a photo with the award.

For a long time, however, the rogue did not enjoy his boasting. According to TMZ, the Oscar thief was arrested the same evening. McDormand himself had noticed that her golden boy was missing. She had then informed security staff of the event. These had eventually tracked the thief and informed the police. A spokeswoman for McDormand told the site, "Fran and the Oscars are back together happily together enjoying an In-N-Out burger."
