Fleetwood Mac: Ex guitarist has voice problems after heart surgery

Lindsey Buckingham, 69, the former guitarist of Fleetwood Mac, has a hard time at the moment. The rock band broke up with him in 2018 - and now, at the end of last week, the musician also had to undergo open heart surgery, as his wife Kristen writes on Twitter. But that's not all: Although he and his heart are getting better and better every day, he felt stronger, but his vocal cords were injured during the operation. At the moment, one does not know whether it is permanent damage, but of course the family hopes for the best.

The past year has been "very stressful and difficult," but Buckingham and his family are just happy that he's alive. Of course, all scheduled performances of the musician would have to be canceled because he is currently concentrating on finding his way back to full strength.

An urgent request

Last but not least Kristen thanked in the name of the family for all recovery wishes. At the same time, however, she also asked that anyone who felt even the slightest symptoms should be examined at all costs. The musician has already lost his father and his brother because they also had to deal with heart disease. It was decided to publicize Buckingham's position in order to alert others to preventive measures.
