Curvy supermodel: RTL II does not believe in the show anymore

For three seasons, RTL II recorded the casting show "Curvy Supermodel" starring Angelina Kirsch (30, "Rock Your Curves!"). Now the station separates from the casting show, as program director Tom Zwiessler confirms to the website "Quotenmeter".

"We're glad that we've done three seasons, but I see no way to bring the concept into a fourth season," said Zwiessler. The reason: The show went to bad rates last. The format started at the end of 2016 and was a successful change to the ProSieben long-running "Germany's Next Top Model". Angelina Kirsch, who celebrates success as a curvy supermodel, went in search of the woman with the perfect curves.

The second season the following year got a new slot and slipped from Wednesday to Monday. Even then, the show had to cope with quotas below the five percent mark. In season three, Jana Ina Zarrella (41), Jan Kralitschka (42), Angelina Kirsch and Oliver Tienken (37) made their judgments on Thursdays. In the end, 18-year-old Ines Dahmen from Cologne won.

Joann Van Den Herik over Body Positivity // ELLE België (April 2024).
