Colorful encounters

The 44-year-old lives in Lübeck after a nine-year ten-year stay in Tenerife since 2010. Her maritime ideas are best placed in the right picture near the lake and all sorts of colorful encounters provide a well-filled and spiced sketchbook.

In her work predominantly the human being plays the main role, to which she always conjures up a smile with his lovable weaknesses and recognizable strengths. "I feel like a tightrope walker between the water and the sky - as good as always having my swimming wings in my luggage, nothing can happen to me in this life."

The 43-year-old lives in a big house with three generations under one roof: her daughter (13), four adults, one dog and three guinea pigs - Close to the beach, surrounded by banana plantations.

The independent designer, painter and illustrator had previously fought in Germany through the advertising market, but after a few years of lack of time and balancing act between family and work had a cut here. The old dream of emigrating once awoke again. To live as far away as possible from your old home, but stay European.

The solution was Tenerife: child-friendly and cheerful, with its own university, sufficient schools and a capital, where everything is what your heart desires. Big enough to be anonymous in the tangle, but manageable. It is always only in the direction of the sea or mountains, nothing is lost here, which can not be carried away by the wind.

For seven years, this island has been home to her and still she often gets the question: "What brought you here?" and: "Yes, can one live here?"

One can!
