Chris Cornell: New documentary about the deceased musician
A new documentary about the deceased singer and musician Chris Cornell (1964 - 2017) is currently in production. This is reported by the US industry publication "Variety" and relies on confirmation from a spokesman for the heirs.
Peter Berg is directing
The documentary on the life of Cornell is said to be produced by his widow Vicky and Film 45, a production company of Peter Berg (54) and Brad Pitt (55). Berg should also direct. Further details are not known at this time.
Just last January, a tribute concert was held in Cornell's honor, featuring a number of high profile stars and bands, including Foo Fighters, Metallica, Josh Homme (45) of Queens of the Stone Age, and Miley Cyrus (26). Cornell was known as the frontman of the bands Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and Soundgarden ("Black Hole Sun"). The musician committed suicide on May 18, 2017.
