Chanson - C'est l'amour

The Piaf sang "C'est l'amour" and it is no coincidence that this double CD from the ChroniquesDuVasteMonde edition is named as one of the Queen of Chanson's best-known songs.
Because with all the heartbreak, in all emotional exuberance: Chanson is above all love, that is the quintessence of this kind of music. This includes that earlier heroes of the chanson, such as the Piaf or Dalida, often also a hint of tragedy blows. Both can be heard on the first CD, which deals mainly with the older chanson, Juliette Gréco, Jacques Brel and Serge Gainsbourg are also there, to Patricia Kaas. The second CD is full of new artists - in recent years, the French chanson experienced an unexpected renaissance. Thanks to voices like those of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Patrick Fiori, the chanson stays alive and does not change that much; Melancholy and Weltschmerz are still the mainsprings. Such a rejuvenation often does very well, and the chanson is also flourished under new direction. In Paris, still and again the center for it, there are a lot of clubs, in which the chanson is paid homage to the most beautiful. Where?
