Bold selfie after breast cancer
With a selfie you want to capture a special moment of yourself in the picture - usually a funny or beautiful. Barbie Ritzco also took a selfie and shared it on Facebook. This shot is incredibly brave and admirable.
The photo shows her naked torso next to her face. The former US Navy soldier was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. She underwent chemotherapy, was irradiated and finally took off both breasts. But why hide? That was out of the question for her. Instead, in 2013, she tattooed a heart of flowers on her breasts and placed this image on the net - to encourage other patients, "Changing to a mastectomy changes my whole life."
