At that time, the story in the media rekindled, according to which the rape scene between Marlon Brando (1924-2004) and Maria Schneider (1952-2011) in the drama "The Last Tango in Paris" was genuine. Bertolucci then published a long statement in which he spoke of, among other things, a "ridiculous misunderstanding".
