Why this doll makes the disabled harmony so happy

Harmony Rose is only a few years old? but she's been through a hell of a lot of it. When she was 11 months old, she became infected with meningitis B and became seriously ill. The doctors gave her only a ten percent chance of survival? but the girl is a fighter, she did it.

However, both her arms and legs had to be amputated, as well as part of her nose. A hard fate, but Harmony-Rose is fortunate enough to have very loving parents who do everything they can to make their lives as beautiful as possible despite the disability - and so today she radiates on almost every image of her ,

A special gift

She has more reason to shine: her parents have fulfilled her great wish: The three-year-old has got a doll that has no arms and legs like her? but carries prostheses.

"Mom, she's just like me!" Was her first comment? and since then, the doll accompanies them everywhere, as the video by Popsugar Moms shows.

Company specializes in dolls with prostheses

Of course there is not such a special toy in every shop. The doll, a very popular in the US "American Doll", was redesigned by the company "A Step Ahead Prosthetics". There, families can order dolls that are exactly adapted to the disabilities of the child.

A great idea, we find, because especially for children with disabilities there are so few ways of identification in our perfection-seeking world. Maybe also a role model for the big toy manufacturers, finally to provide for more diversity in their assortment.

They would make many children very happy!
