Series Tips: In May 2019, the finale of Game of Thrones awaits

In May, there are still three episodes, then it is finally over with "Game of Thrones". Episodes four, five and six are always on Sky night from Sunday to Monday - around 3pm on demand and on Sky Ticket and every Monday at 20:15 on Sky Atlantic. On May 20, it should be clear who is sitting on the Iron Throne. But not only fans of Westeros get their money's worth in the merry month. These highlights are also waiting for serial junkies.

As of May 2, German Netflix subscribers can finally see Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) rule America in the sixth and final season of "House of Cards" without her husband Frank (Kevin Spacey). But her legacy is in danger.



In the first season of "Dead to Me", Christina Applegate (47, "A terribly nice family") and Linda Cardellini (43, "Emergency Room") meet on 3 May. The black comedy series is about a staid widow who befriends an idiosyncratic woman who hides a shocking secret.

From May 24, Renée Zellweger (50, "Bridget Jones - Chocolate for Breakfast") ventures into the world of the series in "What / If". She is on the side of Blake Jenner (26) and Jane Levy (29) in this neo-noir thriller series. A newlywed couple in need of money takes in a lucrative, but morally questionable offer of a mysterious patroness.



As of May 31, "When They See Us" is available. The series documents the catastrophic failure of the US judiciary in the case of the so-called "Central Park Five". In addition, the German series "How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)" will be released on the same day. In it begins a teenager - to impress his ex-girlfriend - from home to sell drugs on the Internet, and soon turns into one of the largest dealers in Europe.

Additional series replacements will be available on season three of "Supergirl" from May 1, season two of "The Rain" on May 17, and season two of "Good Girls" on May 31.

In Germany, the devil returns at Amazon Prime Video. The ten episodes of the fourth season "Lucifer" will be available for Prime members in Germany and Austria from May 9 to stream. From May 7, 2019 at 21:15 clock on RTL runs the second season "Santa Maik". Since Maik (Daniel Donskoy) threw himself in front of a bullet and thus saved the life of policewoman Eva (Bettina Burchard), he was injured in the clinic. The series adaptation "The Name of the Rose" will be published at the end of May - after the world bestseller by Umberto Eco (1932-2016). In northern Italy in 1327, there is a bitter power struggle between the Franciscan Order and the Vatican. The English Franciscan monk William of Baskerville (John Turturro) travels with the novice Adson of Melk (Damian Hardung) to a secluded monastery. He should assume the role of mediator in a secret council of the enemy factions. As soon as they arrive, they witness a series of mysterious murders. The eight episodes will be shown on Fridays at 8:15 pm on Fridays on May 24 in double episodes on Sky 1 as well as on demand and on Sky Ticket.
