From the starfish to the barkeeper Whether starfish need to brush their teeth, maybe no child has asked themselves yet. The answer: you do not have to. Why not? Drive to the Katinger Watt, if you want to know it exactly (April to October 10-18 clock). If your children dig there in the mud or hang on the hose phone, it can quickly take a few hours. Never mind, then the hunger behind is big enough for the hearty meals in the Friesenkate "Schankwirtschaft Andresen": of course the obligatory crabs or a simple fried egg. In addition eggs grog - and the sayings of "William II", far beyond Tönnings borders well-known host and joker.

Pul-position At low tide, she stands in the middle of the mudflats, at high tide in the middle of the sea, the "Seekiste" in front of St. Peter-Böhl. Fresh crabs first come to a table where the team is in the middle of the restaurant. Then they come to the plates - it could not be fresher. The view over the sea is gigantic (daily 10.30-22 clock). For the quick crab snack there is now also a branch of the fish snack "Gosch", at the new, more than one kilometer long pier of St. Peter-Ording.

Sweet sin The "Pharisee Farm" owes its name to the following story: Because a pastor forbade alcohol for a christening in 1872, a farmer mixed rum with sweet, strong coffee and hid the brew under a thick whipped cream. The pastor, however, was not mistaken and exclaimed: "Oh, you Pharisees!" Sin became a cult drink that still exists today in this cozy café. Good basis: the delicious cakes and country bread (Tue-Sun 14-19 clock).

Pellworm

Radrunde in and around the Vogelparadies It's best to cycle around the island without a beach chair break and blow your head - it takes about an hour. Then stop at the harbor in the fish restaurant "Nordseeblick" and spoon a fresh seafood soup (Tue-Sun, kitchen 11.30am-2pm and 5.30pm-9.30pm). And then start again and take your time for the bicycle and bird paradise, for sheep, who are more numerous than humans, for relaxed hours in the beach chair, for the old mill and the lighthouse.
