Norwegian royals celebrate gold wedding? but are these shoes adequate?

50 years ago, King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway gave the sermon? The occasion for a solemn ceremony in the Norwegian royal house. After official guests as well as 200 selected citizens of the people were allowed to attend the festivities during the day, it became quite familiar in the evening: in a small circle King Harald and Queen Sonja reviewed the past time.

Subsequently, the Norwegian royals published a group photo. One of them is: Mette-Marit and Haakon from Norway (top left) with their daughter, Princess Ingrid Alexandra. And especially the latter was particularly eye-catching to some observers.Because the 14-year-old wore a completely different footwear than all other guests.

White sneakers instead of ballerinas and tights

While the gentlemen? no matter what age? to polished shiny suit-shoes, the adult ladies are shown in the photo in pumps. The young girls all wear pantyhose and ballerinas. All? Not quite. Ingrid Alexandra (far left in the picture) wears an almost ankle-length dress, but apparently without tights. And bright white sneakers glitter on their feet.

Sneakers for the gold wedding of your own grandparents? That does not appeal to everyone. At least in many households, a heated discussion should set off when the 14-year-old offspring wants to appear in lace-up sneakers for confirmation, gold wedding or other festive occasions.

Whether Ingrid Alexandra has argued with Mama Mette-Marit or Papa Haakon for the treads, is not known. And we think: For a 14-year-old, it's perfectly okay not to wear pumps (as we generally find it pretty stupid to squeeze into uncomfortable footwear, no matter how old). Especially since the shoes of the princess are bright white and well maintained. At lapped football pitch-Slippers, the thing would look different, however?Or what do you mean?
