Jan Ullrich: Allegedly he started a therapy

Has the former professional cyclist Jan Ullrich (44) been released from psychiatry? According to a so far unconfirmed report of the "Bild" newspaper, Ullrich has already embarked on a therapy in a withdrawal clinic. The article quotes a confidant of Ullrich. The Frankfurt police did not want to confirm this in the meantime and pointed out that she was no longer responsible for the case. Even Ullrich's law firm has not commented on this so far.

As previously confirmed the police of the news agency spot on news, Jan Ullrich was forcibly sent to a psychiatric ward on Friday. As part of his release from the police headquarters in Frankfurt, there had been an incident not described in detail. As a result, the officers had taken him to a hospital with an ambulance because of his "mental and physical condition".



Incident in Frankfurt luxury hotel

Previously, the police published in a press release that is being investigated against Jan Ullrich for "attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily injury". The accused had been under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Ullrich was in the early morning hours on Friday in a hotel in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen "provisionally arrested after a tangible confrontation" been. He was accused of having "quarreled with an escort lady staying with him" and later "physically attacked and injured" them.
