Driver's license messed up? Then you're probably especially smart!

The older gentleman, who at that time purposefully headed for me and the driving school car, let me suspect it already. When he introduced himself, everything was clear: "Evil, my name. Get in." And then there was silence - except for the instructions in the finest Berlin dialect, of course. "Left ... right front ... park here ... and now backwards at the corner, Jut, because now ma back, Mrs. Berger."

"Did not go so bad," I thought. But: far from it, very far. Mr. Evil disagreed. "Forbidden mistake, Mrs. Berger, that would have to let you through before you turn." Hello? DER was at least a kilometer away ... Half nothing, Mr. evil was evil and the cloth went through my rag.

Today, almost 15 years later, I finally have the proof: I could not help it: I'm just too smart to drive!

Try makes smart!

A study by the British insurance company Privilege DriveXpert proves: Smart people rattle more often through the driver's license. 1564 people participated, who were also asked about their occupation and educational level. The result: Candidates with a university degree in arts and cultural studies needed an average of 1.9 attempts. And the mathematicians and scientists had to repeat the driving test even on average 2.3 times. Well, at least they were able to calculate their chances in advance. (Haha, little joke)

Theory collides with practice

From the results, DriveXpert concludes that individuals with academic intelligence and theoretical minds have greater difficulty in driving test. In contrast, the test was easier for those who have a practical intelligence. After all, driving is an activity in which different things happen at the same time and must react accordingly quickly. This, in turn, makes a world of difference to the way academics solve problems - they work one after the other, rather than multiple problems at one and the same time.

Maybe you are a genius ...!

Did you complete your studies with "very good" and now you still want to get your driver's license? Then you better assume that you have to repeat the exam. After all, it does not mean that you're too stupid to drive - you just have to get used to it, to the multitasking of the working class.

Incidentally, as a humanities scholar, I made it on the second try, consider myself an excellent driver - except in the dark - and I am a professional in the discipline "Park parallel to the board stone". So you too can become something on the street. Only courage and get behind the wheel!
