Ian Ziering: Is it difficult for him to say goodbye to "Sharknado"?

In 2013, "Sharknado - Enough said!" a veritable hype. There followed some sequels, with "Sharknado 6" ends the cult horror series now. German premiere celebrates the strip on 23 August, at 20:15 clock, the station Syfy. Whether lead actor Ian Ziering (54, "Beverly Hills, 90210") is sad about the end and what the fans in his opinion fascinated the format, he has told the news agency spot on news.

"Sharknado 6" is already the sixth part. Did you expect this success?

Ian Ziering: I never thought that the first film would see the light of day. Nobody is any more surprised than me that it went on so long and had so much success.

What do you think the people are fascinated by the movies?

Ian Ziering: I believe that sharks bring with them curiosity. Not only are they top predators in the ocean, they are also a mystery. We do not experience sharks in everyday life, but they exist, they are not fictional. This mystery enhances, so to speak, the visual libido, which makes it very attractive. If you then pack a shark into a tornado and drop it from the sky so that they are on the same pitch as the humans, this is an epic battle.

"Sharknado 6" is the last part. Are you sad that the film series ends?

Ian Ziering: I think the film series is told. I am very happy with how "Sharknado 6" completes the franchise. And not just the last film, it connects everyone. I think the scriptwriters did a fantastic job of closing the circle. And should a Skarknado ever come up again, I'm pretty sure the emergency phone will ring in the office of Fin Shepard when it gets picked up.

There are many cameo appearances in the movies. Which celebrity surprised you most?

Ian Ziering: Working with Mark McGrath was fantastic. He's such a great guy and so smart. A special kick for me was the collaboration with Judd Hirsch, he played in my favorite sitcom "Taxi". Also working with Vivica A. Fox was fantastic. She played in "Beverly Hills, 90210" many, many years ago, so I already knew her. It was a fantastic bonus to meet people of whom I was a fan and with whom I am now friends.

Now that your shark career is coming to an end, what's next?

Ian Ziering: I'm shooting another science-fiction movie, hopefully starting to shoot in October.
