In the fire of a sailing yacht in the marina, a homeless person is nearly killed. Commissioner Julia Thiel (Lisa Maria Potthoff) opens the investigation. The flared yacht is owned by a club that is supposed to teach maritime basic knowledge to stunted kids. Ten years ago, the ship was involved in a disaster in which a couple of travelers died and only the six-year-old son survived. Karin Lossow (Katrin Sass) remembers the case well. Has the boy now returned to avenge the death of his parents?

For three years, Nick Tschiller (Til Schweiger) and his colleague Yalcin Gümer (Fahri Yardim) and an LKA team have fought relentlessly against the criminal Hamburg clan Firat Astan (Erdal Yildiz) is leading out of prison. While Firat Astan plans the very big coup, with which he wants to shake Hamburg to its foundations, Tschiller's family is in danger. A Russian auxiliary of Firat Astan kidnaps the two women and kills his daughter's friend. And Astan ultimately demands of Nick to help him with his release from prison, otherwise Lenny (Luna Schweiger) and Isabella (Stefanie Stappenbeck) will also die.
