How to prepare Cold Brew Coffee

For the coffee concentrate you need one liter of cold water, 200 grams of coffee (filter coffee roast, coarsely ground!), A large enough, wide-mouthed container for the coffee and a spoon for stirring.

Pour the ground coffee into the large container, pour in the cold water and stir well. Then cover with cling film and leave at room temperature for twelve hours.

After the twelve hours of rest, the mixture is filtered. Depending on the grinding degree of the coffee, it may make sense to pour it through a hair sieve beforehand to filter out coarse particles, and then to filter through a conventional infusion filter. The coffee concentrate thus obtained can now be stored in the refrigerator for up to four weeks. As the aroma suffers significantly over time, it should be used up within two weeks.

All you need to do to make a fresh coffee is hot water: mix a portion of concentrate and two parts of hot water for a strong coffee. For a thinner coffee, choose the ratio one part concentrate / three parts hot water.
