Alec Baldwin: Clear message about his arrest in New York

Actor Alec Baldwin (60, "If Love Is That Easy") got into trouble with the police in New York City. An alleged dispute over a parking lot ended for the 60-year-old at a police station. After a few hours, however, he was released again. Did the fists go off because of a parking lot? Alec Baldwin has now resisted via Twitter against this allegation.

"The claim [...] is wrong"

In his first tweet, Baldwin made it clear that "normally" he would not comment on something "so outrageously misrepresented". But the actor continued, "The claim that I hit someone for a parking lot is wrong."

Furthermore, the 60-year-old tweeted that it had become "a sport" to "tag people with as many negative accusations and defamatory claims as possible to engage in clickbait entertainment." But no matter how big the echo, it does not make the statements true.

A New York Police spokesman confirmed to People magazine that the investigation was underway and that Baldwin would have to appear in court at a later date.
