TV Tip: Looking for ugly models

A modeling career with crooked teeth, hanging belly or burns on the body? Actually unthinkable. But exactly those types Del Keens is looking for his Agenur "Misfit Models". The Briton himself achieved fame in the 90s: His striking face, which is anything but the usual ideals of beauty, helped fashion brands like Calvin or Levis to a shrill image.

His career did not last long, meanwhile, Del Keens lives as a welfare recipient in Berlin and beats with a few model jobs. He recently founded his own agency for "ugly models" because he believes there is a market for real, "imperfect" people off the norm. But he does not want to show his models: "'Misfits' is a more polite way to describe people who do not fit into the general society, this is not a freak show, not at all! My models are not freaks, they are individualists I."

But is there really a change to the imperfect? Or do the character types only support the constrast of the prevailing ideal of beauty? These questions go to the documentation "Nice can anyone!" which will be shown on arte for the first time on August 29th at 10:45 pm. She takes a look behind the scenes of "Misfit Models" and introduces Del Keens and his potential "Models to be".
