The big bacon and eggs party! - Why the best thing about a vacation is the hotel breakfast
I never drive in holiday homes. There's a reason there's no one to make breakfast for me. Well, maybe my husband and the kids, but that's just not the same. Unless you find that rolls, butter and cheese goes through as a five-star breakfast. I love really good hotel breakfast! So, really, really great. Preferably with chopped fruit and ten different types of tea, with scrambled eggs and maybe bacon, but especially with the base, which I have to do for all these delicacies zero, nada, niente. Nothing at all. Except pay, of course. That's the only downside to it.
Nothing reminds me that I am a housewife
However, it is worth the fun. After all, what could be better than simply sitting down at a table, being served by competent people and simply having a great deal to eat and drink. And that in the morning. Of course I know that sounds decadent, that's it. But once a year I'm just decadent, for seven days I just do not want to do anything that reminds me that among other things and for much of my life I'm a housewife. Is understandable, right?
Is going home too? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that!
Now you could say that I could make such a really nice breakfast but also at home. Or just a part of my family. But that's just not the same thing. First of all, the whole thing then has its price (ever bought a passion fruit in the supermarket?) And secondly, it is full of work to squeeze fresh juice from 100 different fruits to make omelet with mushrooms, tomatoes and ham? and the croissants brings me so far no one to the front door. Besides, can I? at least, if it goes south? Have a nice breakfast in the sun. This is unfortunately not very often possible in northern Germany.
I do not have to clean up once
The best thing about it is that I just get up and go after eating and drinking and sitting around. Once I do not have to clean up or crawl under the table and pick up leftovers from my kindergarten kids, who are already proud when they clear their plates. I am sorry that somebody else has to do that now, but at least it will be paid for it. Anyway, is it the most wonderful way to start the day for me? This mix of calories and great tastes and pamper yourself. That's my luxury, that's why I would like to live more often in four to five star accommodations. In fact, next weekend I drive away with a friend alone for one night. In a hotel. Of course with excellent breakfast.
