Hot Gin Roof? all the iron into the fire
The roof terrace of the London Ham Yard Hotel first became a Hot Gin Roof a year ago. Since yesterday it goes into the second round. Here you can make your irons glow in the fire until the 24th of February and then heat gin cocktails. Caramelizing and with light roasted aromas, yummy!

Since the great success of the Hot Gin Roof Bar there is the Sipsmith Hot Gin & Tonic Set to buy. If you're brave, try a glowing iron bar. Everyone else just uses boiling water to dissolve the syrup.
If you can not decide between mulled wine and hot gin, try the Gin Punch by Hendrick's. Wine meets gin and at the same time you cover your vitamin requirements with the fruit.

Recipe for a cup: 4 cl Berliner Brandstifter Gin 2 cl fresh lemon juice 2 cl elderberry syrup (eg Berliner Brandstifter elderberry syrup) 5-6 slices of ginger hot water 1 slice of lemon handful of star anise 1 stick of cinnamon Add the gin together with the lemon juice, the elderberry syrup and the ginger in Pour a glass of punch, fill with hot water and stir. Garnish with lemon, star anise and cinnamon. Let it rest, serve hot! Alternatively for several people: depending on the number of people increase the quantities of ingredients, heat everything except the gin for about 10 minutes in a saucepan, fill with gin before serving, pour into a punch glass and garnish.
