The German Caricature Award

For the past eight years, the Saxon newspaper has been inviting the best German-language cartoonists and cartoonists to compete for the German Caricature Prize. Since 2006, the prize has been awarded jointly with the Frankfurter Rundschau. Every year there is a new competition motto. An expert jury selects the three winners of the "Winged Pencil" in gold, silver and bronze, and there is also a "Lifetime Achievement Award", which went to 86-year-old cartoonist Marie Marcks this year.
