Survivor: VOX secures the rights to the adventure show

VOX and TV Now have secured the rights to an already internationally successful format: in over 17 countries, the adventure show "Survivor" is currently captivating the audience and challenging the participating players mentally and physically. In 2019, the show, which can already be seen in season 37 in the USA, where it won seven primetime Emmys, comes to Germany.

What is it about?

In "Survivor", 18 participants live 40 days away from civilization and under extreme conditions on an uninhabited and unspoilt island. In challenges, they compete against each other in two teams in each episode. While the members of the winning team receive immunity, each time the losing team has to pick one of their own ranks to leave the island. Only towards the end will the remaining candidates be brought together in one team. If they were previously opponents, they now have to work together. In the final series, a jury consisting of the eliminated participants chooses the winner.

For the big goal, to win the season, everyone therefore fights for themselves. Because on the island, it is not only about obtaining food, water, fire and sleeping places without help, and to overcome his physical and mental limits in the challenges , Only the one who fits perfectly in the group of people who did not know each other before, draws other candidates on his side and with his social skills on the natural playing field of the island with the right strategy, can win the prize money to back up.
