Summer holidays at home: 24 creative ideas to try!
Too little money, too much work, obligations in the family? There are many reasons why families spend the holidays at home? or at least part of it. Maybe you just do not feel like driving away.
Children find that mostly stupid. You can also experience so much at home.
We've collected some ideas for you, including very cheap ones.
(Tip: You can write these and other ideas on paper and put them in a box, and then one is pulled daily - provides extra tension)
1. Do a night walk.
Very brave ones go into the forest? but also the next park can be very exciting in the evening. It gets even more mystical with a torch.
2. Cakes pizza together.
And invite friends to. The more colorful the surface, the better!
3. Build a miniature garden.
You do not even need a balcony for that? just a bowl or a pot, plants and a few ideas.

4. Visit a part of your city that you do not know yet.
It's best to do it on foot. How is it there? Which playgrounds are there? Are there parks? A nice snack?
5. Ride together to the Summer's Tale Festival.
A festival for the whole family? Yes, that's it! Great bands, film screenings, workshops and a lot of children's program. When? 2nd to 5th of August. Where? At Hamburg. Information: www.asummerstale.de
6. Disguise yourself and make up a play.
And the neighbors are allowed to look at it.
7. Sleep outside under the open sky.
So wonderful to fall asleep under the stars and wake up with the first birdsong. You only need a garden or balcony, a hammock, a tent or a mattress. If you do not have that? ask friends or drive out into the countryside.

9. Take a trip to Sea Life.

11. Visit someone you love and have not seen for a long time.
For example, the aunt you already liked as a child. Gives extra karma points. ??
12. Go to the forest.

13. Find the place in your area with the funniest name and drive.
For example, to the cat's brain in Bavaria. Or dog air in Saxony-Anhalt. Or did you know that in Schleswig-Holstein there is a village called Brazil? Lies next to California.
14. Visit a medieval market.
Throughout Germany the jugglers, knights and cupbearers are on the move again. Children love traveling to another world in this way. You can find current dates here, for example.
15. Have a disco evening.
And everyone is allowed to play DJ. Yes, also the parents? here with the old Nirvana hits!
16. Make your own ice.
Tastes much better than from the freezer.
17. Create a holiday diary with your children.

18. Re-design the nursery.
The son always wanted colorful walls? Or put the furniture differently? Then it's time!
