Sex accusations against Kevin Spacey - and outet as gay
Oscar winner Kevin Spacey ("American Beauty", "House of Cards") wants to live in the future as a gay man. This announced the 58-year-old on Twitter. How it came to the coming out, however, is explosive: Previously, a male colleague had accused the actor of a sexual assault.
"I had relationships with men and women," writes Spacey in his tweet. The people who were close to him already knew this? Now he wants to go public with his coming out. "I have decided to live as a gay man from now on."
In his tweet Spacey also calls the occasion for his confession.
Anthony Rapp, who plays in the recent remake series "Star Trek: Discovery", accused Spacey of sexual harassment in an interview.

In an interview with "BuzzFeed", acting colleague Anthony Rapp had accused him of molesting him in 1986. At that time, Spacey had been 26 years old, he himself 14. At a party in Spacey's New York apartment, the drunken actor had put him to bed, climbed onto him and made him "sexual advances," says Rapp. He had not responded to that, but had wriggled out of the embrace and left.
Spacey writes on Twitter:
I have great respect and admiration for Anthony Rapp as an actor. I am more than shocked to hear this story. I honestly do not remember the meeting, that would be more than 30 years ago. But if I behave the way he describes, I owe him my sincerest apology for this highly inappropriate drunken state of affairs, and I am sorry that he was carrying all those feelings he describes all those years with him.
Since the incident, Rapp does not want to talk to Spacey anymore. The 46-year-old played in several Broadway productions at the time. He is currently seen in the series "Star Trek: Discovery", which started in September.
Kevin Spacey won the 1996 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in "The Usual Suspects" and in 2000 as the lead actor in "American Beauty." Media speculated since the 90s, over and over again about Spacey's sexual orientation. In an interview in 2010, the actor said he would never talk about it. The 58-year-old was never married and shields his private life strictly. However, in a lesson, Spacey's name appeared in a list of prominent homosexuals? The leaders of the "LGBT" (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Group) apologized later.
