Some of Williams's companions vented their grief on Twitter. Kevin Spacey wrote, "Robin Williams made the world laugh and think, I will not forget that and honor him, a great man, artist and friend, I'll miss him unimaginable." US President Barack Obama wrote in a statement on the White House website: "Robin Williams was an army pilot, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a romping Peter Pan, and everything in between (...) He made us laugh, he made us cry, and he used his untold talent freely and generously for those who needed it most: from our foreign-based military to the disadvantaged on our streets . "

Mara Wilson, who played Williams' daughter in "Mrs. Doutbfire" in 1993, said she had to digest the shock first.

Very sad, very upset, very glad I did not hear about this Twitter though. Probably going to take some time off for a while.

Fans can console themselves with seeing Williams in the cinema a few more times: he has finished four films before he dies, and they will all be starting in the next twelve months. In the third installment of Night At The Museum, which will be released in cinemas for Christmas, Williams once again plays US President Teddy Roosevelt. He also plays in the Christmas movie "Merry Friggin 'Christmas". It will probably follow in 2015 the drama "Boulevard" and the animated film "Absolutely Anything", in which Williams lent his voice to a trick figure one last time.
