"Our song for Germany": Lena's second Euro Vision start

It could have been so beautiful. An evening of great emotions, not only a dream come true, but also an urgent "national task" is solved. So at least ProSieben had announced "Our Song for Germany".

And that's how it really was: Lena sang sometimes better, sometimes worse through the first show, never with the announced great emotions, but at least always worth listening to. But then came the result of the audience vote and thus Lena to the microphone of moderator Matthias Opdenhövel. She wanted to appear relaxed and easy, made jokes about everyone present, shouting "Yeah!" and looked up in a bad way, That was too bad. Especially for Lena herself. Because until this moment she had delivered a decent show. Time in floor-length wrap dress with 15-inch heels on the feet, sometimes in black jeans and a simple white top, she showed not only fashionable, but also musical bandwidth. From the mainstream-suitable pop song "Maybe" to the experimental song "Taken by a stranger" to the self-written "What happened to me" - the 19-year-old was conspicuous for other tunes than the meanwhile to the supermarket-background-dumplings degenerate "Satellite" endeavors.

The jury (Stefan Raab, "Silbermond" front woman Stefanie dumpling and "unholy" singer "The Count") watched her satisfied. Lena had grown up, were dumpling and the count agreed. After this finding, they apparently lacked the strength to make a proper judgment on the songs. They basically all found "good" or "really good". Stefan Raab praised neither Lena nor the songs, but repeatedly threw the sentence "There must be a synthesis between singer and song there" in the room. It did not matter what he meant - As soon as Lena was on stage, the whole man was beaming with pride. On his songs, his Lena.

However, even he seems to realize that the title defense is difficult. In Holland, a singer once tried to repeat her victory. On the second try, she landed in last place, told Raab and laughed as loud as possible. Sure, his Lena should not happen. However, more has to come in the next "Our Song for Germany" show: more really good melodies, more outstanding lyrics. And please, if possible: less Lena.
