Mariam, the woman with a beard

For many years of my life, I have tried to please and please others, just to be loved and to belong. I did not manage to accept and love myself at the time.

Through writing and much more, I came in contact with myself more. A conclusion of this way is that I no longer fight my beard growth, but let me be a beard. To be a woman with a beard is for me wholeness. The shaving and plucking I feel as pruning.

To move as a woman with a beard between the worlds and the sexes pleases me and fascinates me. For more than a year I live here, sometimes there and explore the world, to understand the humanity more and more on the journey.
