Taylor Swift: Did she just steal the name of a company?

Gross error or calculated risk? Apparently, the American pop star Taylor Swift (28, "1989") stole the name of her own app "The Swift Life" brashly at another company. At least as far as the name is concerned. That claims at least Patrick Benot, owner of the one-man company Swift Life, the singer, according to the information of the portal "TMZ" now sued. He had already registered the naming rights of his computer company in 2007 and now Taylor Swift could not just take his idea.

He had never been contacted by her or her people before the app came on the market. It was particularly annoying that numerous app users would contact his help@swiftlife.com e-mail address. His argument: Swift had registered himself 64 trademark rights, he could not imagine that she or her team have overlooked that the name already exists. Ignorance is no excuse for him in this case.
