Make-up shaming? Can you make up your face?

She started the brush ... uh stone: beauty blogger Nikkie recently posted a video in which she purposely made up only one face half. The other half remains completely unvarnished and impressively illustrates what make-up can do. The video has been watched on Youtube more than 18 million times, also we have reported about it.

The aim of the action was to set a mark against make-up shaming. Because many women who like to put on make-up are hostilised and insulted in the net. Nikki's message: Every woman should be able to put on make-up and make-up as she likes - without having to justify or even be insulted. And who does not like make-up and prefers unvarnished remains - too good. True to the motto: each one according to their façon.

Meanwhile, more and more women around the world solidarize with Nikkie's beauty statement. Under the hashtag #ThePowerOfMakeup they also want to set a mark against make-up shaming. They post on Instagram Selfies after Nikkies model: one make-up made up, the other completely unvarnished.

We show a selection of the most impressive before-and-after selfies.

The power of makeup? I love makeup and you should too, do not be ashamed or embarrassed that it makes you feel better or even better. It's all about how happy you are on the inside most counts, and if that does not make you look bloody rock it out. Personally, I love to be up on a Saturday while being homeless bum during the week
