Knitting yarnmix sweaters - a guide
Instructions for a yarn mix sweater in size S / M / L
Material: 100/125/125 g putty Fb 9 and mustard Fb 38 "Suri Alpaka" (100% suri alpaca, length 133 m / 25 g), 75 g turquoise Fb 121, "Kid" (65% super kid mohair, 30% polyamide, 5% virgin wool, running length 250 m / 25 g) from ggh. Knitting needles No. 5 (if you knit loosely) or 6 (if you knit tight - it is important that you come to the information in the stitch).
Note: It is possible that the given wool can not be bought anymore. In this case, you are looking for a similar quality. Please note the specified run length and do a stitch test!
The sweater is knitted with triple thread - one thread per color.
Kraus right (KR): Back and forth rows right M.
Smooth right (GR): Rowing right, back rows left. In rounds always right M.
Mesh test (GR): 16 M x 22 R = 10 x 10 cm.
Back: Cast on 72/78/84 sts and knit in KR 4 R, continue to knit in GR. Mark the beginning of the armholes 28/27/26 cm from the stop on both sides. 16/17/18 cm from the markings on the armholes work the shoulders and the neckline at the same time: for the shoulders on both sides cast off in every 2nd row 3 x 2 and 4 x 3/7 x 3/4 x 3 and 3 x 4 sts, for Bind off the neckline at the middle 12 sts and finish both sides separately, at the cutting edge remove 6 x 2 sts in every other row.
Front: Work as for the back piece, but for the neckline 14/15/16 cm from the mark of the armhole cast off the middle 14 sts and finish both sides separately, at the cutting edge every 1 x R 1 x 3, 3 x 2 and 2 x 1 Bind off M.
Sleeve: Cast on 33/37/41 sts each time and knit in stocking st, continue knitting in stockinette st, increasing 8 x 1 sts in each 10th row on both sides = 49/53/57 sts. = 43 cm from stance for arm ball Bind off on both sides 5 x 4 sts in every other row, cast off the remaining 9/13/17 sts.
elaboration: Close the shoulder seams. Pick up 90 sts at the neckline for the rolled edge and knit 3.5 cm in a row, then cast off all sts loosely. Close the side seams. Close the sleeve seams and sew in the sleeves.
